Join Fair Tourism to create a meaningful impact. 

Are you passionate about responsible tourism, community development, sustainability, or creating positive change? Fair Tourism is always looking for motivated and committed individuals who want to contribute their skills to projects that support communities and promote more responsible and regenerative approaches to tourism.

 We offer opportunities across different teams, including Projects, Partnerships & Fundraising, and HR & Operations. Whether you have professional experience or are looking to develop your skills through meaningful volunteer work, we would love to hear from you.

What You Could Contribute

Depending on the team and role, you may contribute to:

  • Supporting community-based and regenerative tourism projects.
  • Research, project coordination, documentation, and reporting.
  • Developing partnerships and identifying fundraising opportunities.
  • Improving internal processes, systems, and operational activities.
  • Supporting research, knowledge management, and organizational development.

What We’re Looking For

We welcome individuals who bring a combination of skills, curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn.

 Relevant experience may include:

  • Experience or interest in tourism, sustainability, community development, international development, or non-profit work.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks responsibly.
  • A proactive approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural, and primarily remote environment.
  • Most importantly, a genuine interest in Fair Tourism’s mission and values.

About Fair Tourism

At Fair Tourism we strive for a world where indigenous people are no longer unwillingly considered an attraction, but are empowered to own their cultural narrative and become leaders in community-based tourism. Are current projects are in Thailand (longneck/Kayan), Kenya and Tanzania (Maasai) and Sasak (Lombok). We work from the Humanity Hub in The Hague.
