Welcome Ukrainian newcomers in The Hague!

Samen Hier is looking for groups of Hague residents who want to be paired with Ukrainian newcomers for a year. Our own research has shown that, with the war going on longer than expected, Ukrainians are increasingly in need of connecting with Dutch society and a social network.

In groups of 3-5 friends, acquaintances or neighbours, you will jointly welcome a Ukrainian refugee or refugee family to The Hague for a year. As a group, you guide them, for instance, in finding a suitable job or education, get to know the city together or practice the Dutch language.

During the year, we provide support through training, guidance and community building. Together Here focuses on building equal relationships, and your role is best compared to that of an involved neighbour, a guide and, above all, a friend.
