Do you enjoy taking a walk? Every Thursday morning there is a walking club at WZH Bezuidenhout.
During this activity, you take the residents outside for a nice walk and a breath of fresh air. The elderly visibly enjoy the walk and you help them have a pleasant morning. As a volunteer, you first help to pick up the elderly from their home. Of course, you will receive help from a permanent employee. During the walk, you take care of an elderly person and push the wheelchair or support someone while walking. In the meantime, you have a nice chat with each other.
If the weather is bad, you are still welcome to come and have a cup of coffee or tea with the residents, have a nice chat and possibly play a game.
Target group & impact
At WZH Bezuidenhout, people who need intensive care 24 hours a day live in a protected environment. These can be people with dementia or people with physical ailments. The residents love to take a walk through the Haagse Bos, and your help with this is essential. The more volunteers, the more residents can go outside.
Location
This nursing home is located on the edge of the Haagse Bos in the pleasant Bezuidenhout district. WZH Bezuidenhout offers various types of care, from small-scale living and dementia care to day treatment.
