Summary
Want to make an impact, develop yourself, and make new friends? Join Haagse Helpers' Community Service (MDT) YourCube program!
Detailed description
At Haagse Helpers, young people make an impact in the city by rolling up their sleeves. This service is provided to people with limited social networks or those who are vulnerable in society.
The volunteer (you!) is our focus. We'll discuss your talents, available time, and the target group you'd like to work with. Volunteering should be enjoyable and fit your schedule!
Of course, you'll learn a lot, too. Not only from your volunteer work, but also through the monthly training sessions and personal coaching we offer. This way, you'll not only gain valuable experience but also develop yourself. Upon completion, you'll receive a European-recognized certificate, which will look great on your resume.
Requirements:
- You are between 14 and 30 years old
- You have a BSN number
- You are enthusiastic and motivated to commit yourself for at least 6 months
- You live in (the area around) The Hague

About Netwerk Haagse Helpers
Haagse Helpers is a youth network that offers help to people who have little or no network. We inspire and motivate young people (14-30 years old) to volunteer for lonely fellow citizens. Volunteering at Haagse Helpers is flexible, so you can commit yourself at a time that suits you!
With us you can develop your talents, make new friends and roll up your sleeves. You go out in The Hague to carry out practical and social help activities for vulnerable people requesting help. Examples include gardening, shopping, buddy contact, cooking for vulnerable people and baking pancakes for the elderly in nursing homes. We guide you in the implementation of the volunteer work and like to hear your experiences during a coffee moment at our office. We also organize training courses and workshops on social themes. You focus on self-development, you meet other volunteers and we have a drink together afterwards.
Hopefully we'll see you soon!
