Summary

We are seeking friendly and reliable volunteers to help run our Community Centre café during scheduled shifts.

Detailed description

Volunteers will prepare and serve light food, snacks, and drinks, including making barista-style coffee. We ask for a commitment of at least one shift per week, which includes setup and cleanup time.


Shift Details:

Morning shifts: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays: 8:30-11:30 | Wednesdays: 8:30-12:00

Afternoon shifts: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays: 14:00-16:30 | Wednesday: 11:30-14:30

Additional Monday co-working shift: 11:30-14:00

Each shift requires an additional 15-30 minutes of setup time before and 30 minutes of cleanup time after.


Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare light food such as tostis, bagels, and hot dogs.

- Serve cakes, coffees, and hot drinks to customers.

- Learn and make barista-style coffee (training provided).

- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and café area during and after the shift.

- Set up the café before your shift and cleanup after.

- Interact with customers and ensure they feel welcome.

- Friendly and approachable attitude.

- Willingness to learn new skills, including barista training.

- Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.

- Commitment to regular attendance and reliability.

About The Hungry Mind

The Hungry Mind is a dynamic international community centre serving both the local residents of Loosduinen and the diverse international community of The International School of The Hague.
