Viable Community is looking for an experienced Co-Lead / Organisational Capacity Lead to support the strengthening of our internal structures and ways of workin

Viable Community is seeking an experienced Co-Lead / Organisational Capacity Lead to strengthen our internal structures, governance, and ways of working. This role is suited to a senior organisational leader who is motivated to contribute time and expertise to a mission-driven NGO.


Working closely with coordinators and team members, you will support alignment, clarity, and collaboration across the organisation. You will help individuals identify meaningful roles that match their skills, strengthen decision-making processes, and support the development of sustainable, self-managing systems. As a co-lead, you will also act as a strategic partner in shaping the organisation’s future direction.


Key Responsibilities


  • Support coordinators and teams through guidance, mentoring, and training
  • Strengthen organisational structures, governance, and decision-making
  • Enable self-management and long-term organisational resilience
  • Contribute to strategic thinking and organisational development


About You

  • Senior experience in organisational leadership or capacity building
  • Interest or experience in sociocracy, holacracy, or collaborative governance
  • Comfortable working in complex, evolving environments
  • Able to commit significant and consistent time
