About the role

Our Communications & Outreach Team is responsible for external communications, building strong relationships with local communities, and raising public awareness on environmental issues and solutions.

What you will do

• As a Communication and Outreach Volunteer, you will be contributing to
• Develop and implement external communication strategies that promote Viable Community’s vision and values
• Strengthen our public presence as a trusted advocate for protecting and regenerating natural resources
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders - partners, local communities, other NGO’s, governmental organizations
• Manage brand guidelines to ensure clear, consistent, and impactful messaging across all channels and materials
• Support the creation of communication materials for specific events, campaigns, and projects as well as regular newsletters and social media posts
• Monitor and report on external engagement activities and outcomes

What we are looking for

• Passion for sustainability and motivation to make a meaningful impact in preserving and regenerating ecosystems
• Creative, inquisitive and learning mindset
• A collaborative and inclusive team player
• Comfortable working remotely in a volunteer-based setup
• Commitment to contribute 8-10 hours per week and attend team meetings.
• Interest or experience in Communications, Public Relations, or related fields
• Understanding of marketing and branding
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
