We are now opening up to new self motivating volunteers and seeking an IT Coordinator to support our sustainability organization

Detailed description

IT Coordinator

Welcome to Viable Community, a non-profit organization based in the European Union dedicated to community-managed projects aimed at preserving and regenerating nature. With around 40 active volunteers, we are currently developing a project to combat desertification in Extremadura, Spain. This initiative involves covering the soil with solar panels (AgriVoltaics), integrating regenerative agriculture, and creating opportunities for investment and community engagement.

We are now opening up to new volunteers and seeking an IT Coordinator to support our sustainability organization. This role involves various IT responsibilities, including workspace management, online security management, data management, and coordination with web developers and blockchain specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Streamline our Google Workspace and other online tools
  • Manage online security measures to protect our digital assets
  • Coordinate and assist with updating and maintaining our website
  • Coordinate and assist in the creation of a platform for our volunteer community to interact and co-work on tasks
  • Assist with the creation of a platform for the exchange of digital tokens representing participation in our projects

Qualifications:

  • Experience with IT and/or web design coordination
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and other online tools
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects
  • Passion for sustainability and nature preservation

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a project focused on protecting and preserving nature while developing your skills and expanding your network. If you are passionate about sustainability and possess the skills and experience we are looking for, we would love to hear from you.

What You'll Get:

Time Commitment:

Location: Remote role based anywhere, requires a computer and good internet connection.

  • Workspace manager, online ‘office manager’, keeping our workspace clean and organized. Designated workspace support for our volunteers
  • Online Security manager
  • Data management
  • Web Developers: Front end, 

skills; java, HTML, github, next js, react, CSS, NEXTJS (optional), tailwindui, good Ui development knowledge Knowledge of developing an e-commerce site will be preferable

  • Token development: blockchain, smart contracts, tokenomics, whitepaper assistance
