PR | Communications & Outreach Coordinator

The Viable Community is seeking self-motivated volunteers with experience in Communications and Outreach to contribute to our mission of protecting and preserving nature.

As a Communications & Outreach Coordinator, you will be coordinating all the circle's activities. You align with the Organization's quarterly set Objectives and the team members. You’ll involve the team to develop and implement a communications strategy that includes social media, website content, and public relations to showcase our commitment to protecting nature and regenerating projects. You also coordinate research on potential partners, locations, and regional events in Extremadura, Spain, and build partnerships.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Working with our team to create a comprehensive communication plan
• Assisting in implementing our brand guide and manuals for the volunteers
• Coordinating the creation and development of high-quality content for social media, website, and other marketing channels to promote our projects and organization
• Working closely with the Fundraising, and Content Creation coordinators and other skilled volunteers to develop and execute creative campaigns
• Conducting research on potential partners, locations, and regional events
• Developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, such as NGOs, universities, local government, businesses, and other interested parties
• Helping to build and shape our mission to protect and regenerate nature
• Managing future media relations, including creating press releases, building relationships with journalists, and coordinating media coverage

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate decision-making processes for collaboration between PR, Marketing, and Fundraising.
• Develop and maintain a collaborative structure for PR strategy
• Coordinate with Marketing and Content Circles to assess campaign needs, vision, and review results.
• Managing communications with companies and people of interest and tracking these.
• Setting up processes to reach out to the new contacts from our network (events) How to schedule calls with them and who to include and report to? We need a reporting document/template.
• Content Collection for the website(s).

Requirements:

• Passionate about sustainability and environmental preservation.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in PR, marketing, or related fields preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable with remote work and using digital communication tools.

Time Commitment:

• Minimum of 8 hours per week, ideally more.
• Weekly coordination meetings and optional governance meetings.
• Flexibility to complete tasks when available.

Location:

• Remote role, can be based anywhere.
• Requires a computer and good internet connection.
