Wheelchair pushers wanted for residents of the Swaenesteyn residential care center.
What: Pushing wheelchairs during the outdoor group on Mondays at 2:00 PM
Swaenesteyn is a residential care center located at Nieuwendamlaan 1 in The Hague (in the Leyenburg neighborhood). I work there as a Welfare Coordinator.
If there is one factor that promotes well-being, it is fresh outdoor air.
That's why I've re-established the outdoor group. This means a group of volunteers who take residents (most of whom are in wheelchairs) for a short walk through the neighborhood every Monday, for about 45 minutes.
The more wheelchair pushers we have, the more residents can get outside. What's more, the volunteers and residents are a truly friendly group. Fresh air is good, healthy, and enjoyable for all of us!
