Video Editor & Graphic Designer

Are you passionate about making a difference in the world? DARA Europe needs your help! We’re looking for volunteers to join our Marketing and Communication working group. 

DARA Europe is committed to supporting impoverished children and families in the village of Andong in Cambodia. We support local projects, programs, and facilities aimed at well-being, safety, and education. DARA Europe provides long-term support for educational programs, family aid, and other community-building activities through our partner organization Stellar Child Care Organization (SCCO) in Cambodia. 

Opportunity for volunteers: 

We're looking for volunteers to join our Marketing and Communication working group. We would love to meet you if you're skilled in social media, photoshop, video editing? 

Your tasks will include:

• Video & Reels Editing: You will create and edit short, dynamic videos and snippets (for Instagram Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) 
• Graphic Design (Flyers & Posters): You will design eye-catching and professional promotional materials (such as flyers, posters, and brochures) for events and campaigns, online and offline.
• Social Media Formatting: You will translate ideas and provided copy into attractive templates, carousels, story visuals, and feed posts that align with our brand identity.

You will actively brainstorm and work together with our Marketing & Communications working group to explore how we can grow our donorbase and make more impact together.

As a volunteer at DARA Europe, you can make a difference for a small organization with a significant impact. You work independently, but you can always rely on the support of board members and our team of other volunteers.

• We are flexible. You determine your tasks, time commitment, and working hours yourself. We have regular online meetings to keep you involved in what's happening. Once a year, we meet in person to exchange ideas and experiences in an informal setting somewhere central in the Netherlands.

Who are we looking for?

Experience is not a strict requirement for us; motivation, a strong sense of visual aesthetics, and creative drive are. We are looking for someone who:

• Has a keen eye for visual design, video editing, and social media trends.
• Has experience with (or quickly gets the hang of) design tools and video editing software (such as Canva, CapCut, etc.).
• Can independently develop visual concepts into concrete flyers, videos, and social posts.
• Has an affinity with our mission and wants to contribute knowledge and creativity for an extended period (minimum 6 to 12 months).
