About MEE op Weg

A project for anyone from the age of 12 with a disability who wants to learn to travel independently. Many people with disabilities travel from a young age with 'special' transport to school, leisure activities or other facilities. Traveling by 'the van' or by taxi has become a matter of course. On the one hand, this special transport ensures that people get to where they need to be. On the other hand, people in this way remain dependent on the special transport or others. While they may be able to learn to travel independently.

Independent travel is important
It is our mission to ensure that people with disabilities can participate in our society. Being able to travel independently is important. It gives more freedom and therefore also possibilities for spontaneous actions. Like deciding in the evening to go to the movies with your friends. MEE wants to think in terms of opportunities and possibilities, instead of limitations. With the creative solutions and support of MEE op Weg, the participants achieve a valuable result.
