As a coordinator, you are an important link within the day care center; you ensure that volunteers know what to do and that visitors feel welcome.
As Volunteer Management Coordinator, you are one of the connecting factors within the location. Together with the team of coordinators, you ensure that the volunteers feel at home at the daycare location. You derive energy from collaborating, are well-organized, and enjoy connecting with the volunteers.
You participate in volunteer activities to hear how everyone is doing and organize activities to keep the volunteers engaged. You are involved in the recruitment, selection, onboarding, engagement, and farewell of the volunteers.
Who are you?
- Good social skills, stress resistance, and flexibility.
- Administrative skills to keep the volunteer database up to date.
- Digital skills so that you can work in our systems and e-learnings after instruction.
- Proactivity; you take initiative and dare to make decisions when necessary.
What are you going to do?
As a coordinator, you are an important link within the day care center. You ensure that volunteers know what is expected of them and that visitors feel welcome.
You will be involved in, among other things:
- Coordinating, scheduling, and supervising the day care and the volunteers.
- Serving as a point of contact for volunteers during the shelter.
- The content and planning of activities and workshops that contribute to a pleasant and meaningful day for visitors. Think of a range of Red Cross workshops, offerings from other organizations in the area, or, for example, organizing a free haircut or creative activity.
- Assisting with practical tasks, such as serving meals and coffee or tea.
- Maintaining contact with the coordinators and sharing details and signals.
- Contributing to a safe, respectful, and welcoming atmosphere.
