Volunteer Vacancy Bicycle Mechanic Children's Bicycle Plan

Stichting Leren Doen is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer bicycle mechanic for the The Hague Children's Bicycle Plan .
Within this project, we ensure that children from low-income families have access to a good and safe children's bicycle. In our workshop, used bicycles are refurbished, inspected, and made roadworthy. We could really use some extra help with that.
What are you going to do?
As a volunteer bicycle mechanic, you help with the:
- inspecting and repairing children's bicycles
- replacing parts
- carrying out minor and major repair work
- check if bicycles are safe and in good working order
- preparing bicycles for handover
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who:
- is good with bikes or likes tinkering
- has an affinity with children and social projects
- is practically minded and can work independently
- is available at least once a week
- enjoys working together in a social and informal environment
