As The Hague prepares to host the NATO Summit on 24–25 June 2025, the city is transformed into a vibrant stage for dialogue, reflection, creativity, and civic participation. Under the umbrella of the official Road to Summit programme, the Just Peace Festival offers an alternative lens: one that puts people, communities, and imagination at the centre of peacebuilding.

The Just Peace Festival features a rich, diverse mix of event formats to reflect the many dimensions of peace and justice in society. From debates and lectures to exhibitions, performances, film, dance, and creative workshops — the festival fills The Hague with more than 80 events that engage the public and spark new ideas about what peace means today.

These include:

Dialogues: Thought-provoking discussions, panels, and forums that challenge and inspire

Movie Nights: Screenings of films and that bring global and local peace issues to life followed by dialogues

Exhibitions: Visual art, photography, video, cartoon, installation displays that tell powerful stories of conflict, resilience, and hope

Actions: Civic and community-led activities that encourage hands-on

public engagement

The Just Peace Festival transforms the city into a dynamic forum for open dialogue, inspiration and learning around peace and justice. From dialogues and debates to exhibitions, music, dance and film - the Just Peace Festival brings together citizens, artists, experts, policy makers and YOU to discover the power of peace and justice in action. As part of the city-wide Road to Summit programme, this two-week festival invites you to participate, learn, share and be inspired by the diverse voices working for a more just world - right here in The Hague.
