Are you interested in peace & justice and are looking for an opportunity to be more involved in what is going on in The Hague? Come join our team for the Just Peace Open Day!


The Just Peace Open Day aims to bring peace and justice to life for citizens of The Hague. Various (international) peace and justice organisations, big and small will open their doors to thousands of guests: think about The Permanent Court of Arbitration, International Court of Justice, High Commissioner on National Minorities of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE HCNM) & many more.


We are seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers to host tours during the Just Peace Open Day on September 22nd. As a tour guide, you will lead one of three guided tours, showcasing organizations that advocate for peace, justice, and human rights worldwide.

What does the position entail? 

As a volunteer, you will work with the Just Peace team to:

  • lead & manage guided tours during the event
  • provide guests with insightful and engaging information about each organization visited
  • answer questions and facilitate discussions
  • ensure the safety and comfort of all tour participants

🕒time commitment: 9:00 - 17:00 on September 22nd + 3-4h of training with an experienced tour guide the weeks prior


Who are you?

🗣️ excellent communication and interpersonal skills

🌟 able to engage and manage a diverse group of guests

👊 someone who does not shy away from taking the lead

💖 a genuine interest in peace, justice, and human rights

🏛️ knowledge of the organisations working on peace & justice in The Hague is a plus

🧩 able to work independently

🇬🇧🇳🇱 fluency in English and/or Dutch

About The Hague Humanity Hub

The Humanity Hub is a not-for-profit foundation that supports and strengthens the Hague ecosystem for a more peaceful and just world.
