VTV organizes activities for young people (18–35 years old) with mild intellectual disabilities and/or autism. We are looking for volunteers to help supervise.

Currently, 48 young people (ages 16 to 30) are members of one or more friendship groups that we support at VTV. We believe it's important that these young people can participate in the city's activities. Their disabilities are often invisible, leading to them being overestimated and left out. They do need some support to actually meet up with each other.

As a volunteer, you'll join in the activities the young people are doing. For example, one group might go to a pub in The Hague to chat with other young people over drinks, while other groups might go out for a bit of fun (bowling, ice skating, going to the movies, or something similar). These groups meet once a month on Thursday or Friday evenings, or during the weekend.

What do we offer?

– An introductory course, training and guidance

– Travel and expense allowance

- Third-party liability and accident insurance at the time of volunteering
