Program Manager

Viable community is a nonprofit, volunteer-powered organisation building pathways to a more regenerative, inclusive, and sustainable world. Through collaborative initiatives, knowledge sharing, and practical action, we aim to make climate-positive, systems-changing solutions accessible to everyone.

We are seeking an experienced, purpose-driven program manager to join our core team. This is a central role in the organisation, ideal for someone who wants to help guide and grow an innovative nonprofit initiative from the inside out.

About the role:

As the program manager, you will work closely with our founder and core volunteers to ensure the smooth design, coordination, and delivery of our programs and initiatives. This includes overseeing project timelines, supporting teams, connecting strategy to action, and contributing to the overall health and direction of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the planning and delivery of multiple Viable Community programs and projects.
• Support volunteer team leads and ensure effective internal communication and collaboration.
• Help align activities with organisational goals and values.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen and expand our impact.
• Contribute to strategic discussions, planning sessions, and internal processes.
• Step in to support areas of the organisation that need additional guidance or coordination.
• Help maintain a culture of care, accountability, and shared purpose across the team.
