About YMCA Scheveningen

The YMCA Scheveningen association, founded in 1878, stands for participation, quality of life, culture and well-being. It focuses on 3 main tasks: cultural development (among young people) through a music centre, organizing social activities for the neighborhood through a neighborhood restaurant and organizing live music performances and events through Podium aan Zee.

In the field of (music) cultural education, the Association has laid a strong foundation since the late 1960s for its current status as a breeding ground for young musical and theater talent in Scheveningen. YMCA is now the largest music culture provider in this district with a wide range of various classes, taught by 20 qualified professionals. YMCA has a multifunctional concert hall and three fully facilitated teaching studios.

YMCA Scheveningen is a non-profit organization that gives volunteers and interns the opportunity to gain valuable work experience, and provides room for development.
