Summary

Through this coaching service we support you - a queer individual with a bicultural of migrant background from Den Haag - in your mental wellbeing.

Detailed description

What’s it about?

The Queers Are Thriving is a free coaching program to support queer individuals in Den Haag with a bicultural or migrant background - Thanks to Gemeente Den Haag, Fonds 1818, Het Blauwe Fonds, and COC Haaglanden’s Queer Startup Fund.

Through one-on-one coaching sessions, we offer a safe, affirming space to explore your mental well-being, build resilience, and take meaningful steps toward personal growth.

Our offer:

You’ll receive 6 coaching sessions (could be up to 12) individual coaching sessions online with Sammy (he/they), a queer and migrant-identifying coach. The sessions are tailored to your goals and needs, helping you gain clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of belonging. This service is offered in English or Arabic, and is free of charge.

Who are you?

You’re 18+, queer, living in Den Haag, and from a migrant or bicultural background. You’re interested in working on your mental well-being in a safe and supportive environment. Where you can reflect, grow and be seen.

Are you interested?

Read more in our info-pack and learn how to get started here.

Or reach out directly to our coach at: [email protected]

Note that the timing of the coaching sessions is flexible, and is to be decided on by you and the coach; the date of 1 June mentioned at the top is not necessarily representative of when the sessions would take place.

About Advocates Who Thrive

At Advocates Who Thrive we empower current or aspiring advocates to become more influential in their fight for social and environmental justice.

We do so by offering them training and coaching opportunities that build their confidence, capacity and competences to speak up, lobby & campaign for the environment, animal rights, human rights and inclusion.

In order to successfully address these urgent societal challenges, we need all kinds of angles and viewpoints to be on board. That’s where our main activities – the intensive, multi-day training courses that we organize – come in. Where international youth from all kinds of backgrounds come together. The training setup in combination with their passion and collective drive allows them to fully focus on the topic and on each other. As a result, participants develop themselves and each other in ways they never imagined before.

Fully in line with these values, in our organization we welcome and involve youth from all walks of life. No matter their background, religion, education, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexual orientation, everyone is welcome to join!
