Do you like a challenge and do you love checkers? We are looking for a buddy for a resident who wants to come and play checkers on a weekly/regular basis.Detailed description
What does it entail and do we expect from you?
- You like playing checkers
- You enjoy making personal contact and becoming a buddy with an older resident.
- You have patience and space to (learn) how to deal with someone with aphasia.
- You have an eye for details and help when necessary.
- You enjoy offering a resident a pleasant daytime activity.
What does it get you?
- Adding value to the well-being of the residents;
- Participate in all staff association activities;
- Presents, including Christmas gift, day of care and day of volunteer work;
- Annual volunteer outing;
- Travel allowance.
