Do you believe in the power of the sea as a healing environment and the surf as an active inspirer for improving people's mental and physical well-being? Then the Soul Surfers Foundation is looking for you. We are looking for wave riders and sea lovers who know how to create a wave of change not only on the coast for themselves, but also for others by fulfilling a role as director within our great foundation!

Soul Surfers Foundation (SSF - est. 2008) is a non-profit organization committed to improving the physical and mental well-being of participants in its surfing sport. SSF believes in the power of the sea as a healing environment and of surfing culture to connect, inspire, make physically and mentally resilient and empower people.
Job description:
SSF is looking for dedicated directors who want to take on one of the two roles, namely that of treasurer and/or secretary.
As treasurer you are responsible for the financial waves that the foundation faces, such as financial management and ensuring transparent and accurate administration.
As a secretary, just like a surf instructor does when teaching participants, you support the board in organizing meetings, keeping minutes and handling correspondence.
Treasurer responsibilities:
* Manage the foundation's finances, including preparing and monitoring the budget, managing bank accounts and submitting financial reports.
* Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of income and expenses.
* Preparing financial documents for VAT and annual tax returns.
* Establishing or maintaining contacts with financial institutions and donors.
* Actively participate in board meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
Secretary responsibilities:
* Supporting the board in organizing meetings, drawing up agendas, taking minutes and handling correspondence.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of the foundation's policies and strategies.
* Actively participate in board meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
The Soul Surfers Foundation likes it if you:
* Have an affinity with the mission and values of the Soul Surfers Foundation.
* Have experience with financial management and accounting processes.
* Has good communication skills, both oral and written.
* Have good organizational skills and an eye for detail.
* You have the ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Enjoy working with other board members and volunteers.
* Are available to participate in board meetings and other relevant activities approximately 4 times a year.
