Viable Community is seeking a Program Manager with relevant experience to help transform our two-year-old non-profit into a resilient and self-organizing organization capable of scaling in the coming years. This role will focus on securing operational funding, improving project outcomes, and enhancing our organizational processes. If you have experience in organizational development, fundraising, or project management and are eager to take on this challenge, we want to hear from you!
Who We Are
Welcome to Viable Community, a non-profit organization based in the European Union. Our mission is to create community-managed projects dedicated to the preservation and regeneration of nature. We currently engage around 25 active volunteers weekly out of a network of over 80 connected volunteers. Our projects include:
- Educational Video Project: A small-scale initiative aimed at raising awareness and educating the community.
- Agrivoltaic Pilot Project: A pilot integrating solar panels with agriculture.
- Extremadura Project: A major initiative in Spain to combat desertification, supported by an external project developer.
We operate with a Dutch non-profit with ANBI status, a Dutch BV as a special purpose vehicle, and a holding company. Our ideology emphasizes transparency, co-decision-making, and decentralization of power, inspired by Holacracy, Frederic Laloux’s Reinventing Organizations, and web3 technologies.
