Summary

We're looking for passionate, energetic and organised professionals to support the delivery of the inaugural Swimmable Cities.

Detailed description

We're looking for passionate, energetic and organised professionals to support the delivery of the inaugural Swimmable Cities. They'll be involved in general event activities like welcoming guests and helping with navigation around the venue/precinct, supporting registrations, setting up rooms and spaces, supporting workshop delivery. Volunteers will also be responsible for role-modelling a positive, inclusive, upbeat and professional tone to co-create a successful experience for all participants.


Work area #1: Event Support

- Volunteers will take on the role of supporting general activities as mentioned above, and other actions that ensure the smooth and efficient running of the event.


Work area #2: Workshops

- Volunteers will take on the role of 'Chief Listeners', taking notes and summarising insights to support the Summit summary report. These will take place on Day 2, involving 7x breakouts of 15-20 people, managed by 2x Co-Facilitators & 1x Chief Listener.


Key Commitments / Timeline

Volunteers must be able to commit to 2 shifts, and the pre-event briefings:


Pre-Event Briefings

- Online, 2-3 weeks prior to the Summit, and another in the week before the Summit


Day 1, Sunday June 22 

- Afternoon Shift: 14:30 -18:30pm (Venue Set Up, Early Registrations, Opening Splash, Welcome Reception (beginning)) 


Day 2, Monday June 23 

- Morning Shift: 7am-1pm (Venue Set Up, Registrations, Morning Program)

- Afternoon Shift: 12:45-17:45pm (Afternoon Program (inc. Workshops), Venue Pack down)


Day 3, Tuesday June 24

- Volunteers are welcome to join the Field trips as participants.
