Summary

Do you want to help families strengthen their own network and create a plan for the future? Then follwow our training now and join our team!

Detailed description

We'll soon be starting the two-day training for Personal Future Plan Coaches. During this training, you'll learn how to coach families in creating a Family Group Plan.

Every family can find themselves in a situation where extra support or practical help is needed. In many cases, friends, relatives, acquaintances, or neighbors can play a vital role. These network members can contribute ideas and participate in finding solutions and developing a plan. As a prospective coach, you'll activate and strengthen the network to create a plan together with the family. You'll initiate this process, monitor it, and bring everyone together. This allows the family to develop solutions that suit them, based on their own initiative and strength, and that can be integrated into any professional support they may need.

What will you do as a coach?

  • Discuss with family members what situation they want to improve;
  • Mapping the family's network members and approaching them to provide input;
  • Invite network members to the meeting where the plan is made;
  • Partly chair the meeting, digitize the plan and share it with network members and, if necessary, with the professional.

Who are you/what are we looking for?

  • You have confidence in the inherent strength of families and you enjoy supporting families in finding their own options and solutions;
  • You have an open attitude and a positive appearance and you are solution-oriented;
  • You have a guiding, coaching way of working and you are at least 21 years old;
  • It would be nice if you also speak another language and feel at home in another culture.

Period and working hours

You are available for an average of 1 hour per week and are free to plan your own hours.

What do you get in return?

  • Training, guidance and intervision to be able to do the job well;
  • The opportunity to develop your communication and coaching skills and gain experience as a coach;
  • You will receive a volunteer contract and insurance;
  • You will receive an annual gift;
  • You will become part of an enthusiastic and experienced team;
  • You will receive the fun 'Strong Together with Your Network' game, which you can also use during coaching;
  • You have the opportunity to coach a family close to you or in another neighborhood.

JESS Foundation

A Personal Future Plan is an initiative of the JESS Foundation, an operating company of Xtra that houses social projects. Examples of the JESS Foundation initiatives include: the Youth Information Point (JIP), the Youth Intervention Team (JIT), School Social Work+ (SMW+), and a Personal Future Plan (ETP). All projects share the common goal of strengthening the target group's own strengths so that they can fully participate in social processes.

RondomJou

Effective January 1, 2024, youth care in the municipality of The Hague will be organized in a new way. RondomJou and Kracht are two organizations that each operate within their own area. Through the rondomJou partnership, Eigen Toekomst Plan supports families in the following neighborhoods: Centrum, Laak, Haagse Hout, and Leidschenveen-Ypenburg.

Starting in October 2025, we'll also be looking for ETP Coaches for Delft. Are you available in Delft? Contact us.
