You can make a difference in your neighborhood!
Are you between 15 and 30 years old and want to truly make an impact in your area? MDT Community Resilience gives you the chance to create and carry out projects with other young people that make your neighborhood stronger, friendlier, and more sustainable. These projects center creativity, mutual aid and skill-sharing.
What is MDT Community Resilience?
- You organize your own project around themes that matter to you: loneliness, environment, meeting spaces, art, inclusion, or anything relevant in your community.
- Learn new skills through free workshops and from each other—like coding, art, sustainability, event planning, and more.
- Work together with other young people, grow your network, and get guidance where needed.
- Receive an official certificate to boost your CV!
Project examples:
- Workshop series: Teach others (and yourself!) skills like cooking, coding, or bike repair.
- Community fridge: Set up a place where people can leave or take food.
- Young & old together: Connect youth with elderly people for digital help or storytelling.
- Neighborhood party or garden: Organize a local celebration or start a shared garden.
- Support group: Create a space where young people support each other through challenges.

About Netwerk Haagse Helpers
Haagse Helpers is a youth network that offers help to people who have little or no network. We inspire and motivate young people (14-30 years old) to volunteer for lonely fellow citizens. Volunteering at Haagse Helpers is flexible, so you can commit yourself at a time that suits you!
With us you can develop your talents, make new friends and roll up your sleeves. You go out in The Hague to carry out practical and social help activities for vulnerable people requesting help. Examples include gardening, shopping, buddy contact, cooking for vulnerable people and baking pancakes for the elderly in nursing homes. We guide you in the implementation of the volunteer work and like to hear your experiences during a coffee moment at our office. We also organize training courses and workshops on social themes. You focus on self-development, you meet other volunteers and we have a drink together afterwards.
Hopefully we'll see you soon!
