We’re looking for a hands-on, curious, and mission-aligned leader to guide the creation of Viable Community’s custom AI/LLM assistant.
Welcome to Viable Community — a non-profit organization based in the European Union, committed to community-led projects that focus on the preservation and regeneration of nature. We are currently seeking a pragmatic and hands-on AI Assistant Implementation Lead.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead the setup of our AI assistant, including choosing/configuring the right LLM
- Feed the AI with relevant documents — policies, past proposals, strategic plans, guidelines — so it understands our context and values
- Integrate the assistant into our internal workspace and public website, supporting both the team and our community
- Guide its use: Help the team adopt the assistant for proposal writing, content creation, research, workflow guidance, and other tasks, ensuring outputs are aligned with our mission
- Maintain alignment with shared values, avoid duplication of work, and support bigger strategic goals while engaging community members
What we’re looking for:
- Pragmatic and hands-on: ready to dive in and take ownership
- Motivated to bring this project to a good result
- Curious and creative: able to adapt AI tools to our specific mission and context
- Comfortable collaborating with a small team and guiding others in using the assistant
Time Commitment
- Around 10 hours a week
- Flexibility to complete tasks when you are available
Location
- Remote role that can be based anywhere
- Requires a computer and good internet connection.
