Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in monthly board meetings with a willingness to engage in extended discussions.
- Review documents and provide feedback promptly, with availability for occasional calls.
- Offer neutral, strategic advice to foster organizational growth and sustainability.
- Identify potential threats and opportunities, providing foresight and guidance.
- Collaborate with fellow board members and volunteers, embracing our democratic ethos.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to foresee and navigate potential threats and opportunities.
- Competent in providing neutral and objective perspectives.
- Flexibility to engage in extended meetings and provide feedback as needed.
- Understanding of and commitment to a democratic, inclusive approach.

At Advocates Who Thrive we empower current or aspiring advocates to become more influential in their fight for justice. We do so by offering them training and coaching opportunities that build their confidence, capacity and competences to speak up, lobby & campaign for the environment, animal rights, human rights and inclusion.
In order to successfully address these urgent societal challenges, we need all kinds of angles and viewpoints to be on board. That’s where our main activities – the intensive, multi-day training courses that we organize – come in. Where international youth from all kinds of backgrounds come together. The training setup in combination with their passion and collective drive allows them to fully focus on the topic and on each other. As a result, participants develop themselves and each other in ways they never imagined before.
Fully in line with these values, in our organization we welcome and involve youth from all walks of life. No matter their background, religion, education, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexual orientation, everyone is welcome to join!
